Web 3.0 is a pipe dream -- but so is Web 2.0 for most of the world. Let's be realistic; the real-time web is about broadband. It's hard to communicate in microseconds of another person without high-speed internet, and do I need to remind you how much global acreage lacks broadband connectivity? That won't happen overnight. Five years if we're lucky; I'll be conservative and say 10. I'll be equally conservative by suggesting the Fortune 5000 will be using social media in five years, for a mere fraction use it today for engagement and interaction. I don't need to click those videos, every single one of which undoubtedly includes a "I think" or an "I believe" declaration. Web 3.0 is far away from global adoption -- so why focus a social media chat on it? Silliness. This is silly.

Let’s be realistic; the real-time web is about broadband.
